Heena Choi, DAOM

Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

 

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Heena is a second-generation Oriental Medicine practitioner. Originally from South Korea, she immigrated to the United States with her family during her junior year of high school. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland before completing a Master’s Program in Oriental Medicine at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA. After graduating in 2006, Heena undertook an externship at Kyung Hee University General Hospital’s Department of Oriental Medicine in South Korea.

Upon returning to the U.S., Heena established her own practice while also serving as a clinic practitioner and supervisor at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine. She specializes in treating a wide range of conditions, from muscular pain to internal disorders, combining the principles of Eastern and Western medicine to provide holistic and effective care.

Heena currently lives in South Kingstown with her husband, two children, and their energetic dog.
